Bidding
In order to bid on items you must have a Gold Country Auctions account. You will need a valid email address & Phone number. A valid credit card is required before you place a bid.
Buyers Premium and Sales Tax
Our auction events include a 15% Buyer’s Premium. This premium is added to your total at checkout. For instance, if you secure an auction item at $100, your total cost will be $100 plus a $15 Buyer’s Premium, culminating in a final price of $115.
Additionally, a 7.75% California Sales Tax will be applied to all purchases.
For those wishing to claim a sale or use tax exemption, a fully executed, valid, and complete resale certificate must be provided before your purchase. Purchases made prior to your exemption received and validated will not be exempt.
Payment
When an auction closes, you should receive an email with total due and a PAY NOW button. Or you can go to YOUR ACCOUNT and pay for your auction using the invoice and payment button. If you are bidding on multiple auctions you can wait until they close and pay for all of them using the PAY FOR ALL button in your account.
When you click the PAY NOW button, an authorization and hold for the amount due will be placed on your card. It will get charged at the end of the day when our system closes out and processes all charges for the day. We reserve the right to merge all of your auctions together into one order and process them all together to save on time and fees.
Soft Close
If a bid is placed on an item that is about to close, the closing time will be extended by 3 minutes in order to prevent sniping. Auctions close in one minute intervals.
Payment
Once the auction ends, the winning bidder will have to pay their invoice manually through the “My Account” section of the website.
Items not paid for within 3 days of the auction ending will be considered abandoned. If payment is unsettled after 3 days, all lots will be resold, and bidding privileges will be revoked.
We accept major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, PayPal, Apple & Google Pay.
Pick up
Address will be emailed to winning bidders after payment is received. Make sure to bring a copy of your receipt for us to get your items.
Please be aware we have a strict pick-up policy. All items must be picked up within the pick up time described at the auction closing. Any items not picked up within the pick up period will be considered abandoned and will not be refunded. All winning bidders must pick up their items from the specified pick-up location.
It is mandatory for all bidders to take all boxes/items in purchased lots upon item collection. Failure to comply will result in account suspension.
Please come with adequate assistance for loading heavy items, as there will not be loading assistance.
You will also need to bring a copy of your paid invoice to pick up items.
Returns & Refunds
All sales are final
On Pickup, If an item does not match the description, refuse it and we’ll issue a full refund!
